Šimon Holý

 

Šimon Holý was born in Prague in 1995, where he graduated from FAMU (Film Academy of Dramatic Arts). He works as a presenter of daily broadcast on Radio Wave station of Czech public service radio, where he, together with Hana Trojánková Biriczová creates the show Kompot. He is an author of soundtracks for motion pictures Parádně pokecal (Totally Talking) (2014), Rodinný film (Family Film) (2015), Jiří pes uprchlík (George the Dog, Refugee) (2019) and co-author of music in film Všechno bude (Winter Flies) (2019), for which he, together with  Monika Mindriaková and Pawel Szamburski was nominated for the Czech Lion Film Award. In 2016, he shot his short film Všechno (Everything), on which he collaborated with director of photography Jana Hojdová.
