1940s. A young soldier returns from war to his old mother. The joy accompanying his return is quickly replaced with the weight of silence – the soldier is suddenly compelled to share a story about a swan. It is perhaps in hopes that the deed which is beyong words can finally be uttered. That a mother and son can still understand each other.
