Pavel Berkovič has worked as a cinematographer on dozens of projects, from feature films and TV series to music videos and documentaries of all genres. His most notable recent feature films include the fairy tales The Third Wish (2017), Kitty Mama (2011), and The Treasure (2012), as well as the two-part TV crime film Methanol (2018) and the Czech sci-fi film The Runners (2010). However, his filmography is mainly dominated by TV series such as Sense of Tumour (2024), Morning Glow (2022), The Roubal Case (2021), The Crimes of Great Prague (2021), The Protector (2021), Rabies (2018), Innocent Lies or The Perfect World (2008). In addition to his work as the director of photography, he has worked on several projects as the 2nd unit director of photography, such as The Painted Bird (2019). Pavel is also behind the newly established film production company Beast Production. In his production, he made his directorial debut in 40 Roles (distribution 09/2024). Pavel is a co-producer and cinematographer of About Small Things (directed by Denis Šafařík, 2023). Since June 2024, he has been the president of the Czech Society of Cinematographers and Videographers. He aims to level the field for filmmakers and workers in the Czech film industry.
