Kontora

Kontora
Cinematography by: Maxim Golomidov | Directed by: Anshul Chauhan | Japan | 2019 | 145 min

As part of the autumn-summer cinema in front of the Vítkovice Etáž building, we will present the last of the competition films called Kontora in a special screening.

It is about the difficult relationship between father and daughter. About the secret memories of my grandfather, a pilot of the Second World War. About prejudices and friendship without borders. About the journey into the past with homage to future generations. All this is mixed together by the film about family, Kontora, which won the Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn, Estonia, last year. It is a piece by Indian director Anshul Chauhan and an Estonian cinematographer, but it takes place in Japan, with Japanese actors, and is also a look back at the local history of war.
