Eleven-year-old Tony is unique – since he was born, he has been glowing. His, maybe a bit overprotective, parents try to keep him at home, away from the outside world. This changes when Shelly, a mysterious girl, moves into one of the neighboring flats right before the Christmas holidays… and turns his life upside down. Tony makes his first real friend, to whom he can reveal the fantasy place in his pillow bunker. Shelly, in turn, shows Tony a miraculous torch. With her light, she can turn ordinary things into amazing pictures and magical worlds only they can see. Thus begins their adventurous search for the origin of the mysterious wisps of darkness that are sucking the sunlight out of their house. Tony, Shelly and the Magic Light is a film about what it’s like to be different, a story about friendship and imagination, about light and darkness.
