Ester Grohová
Ester Grohová aka expandcollapse has a classical musical education and is a graduate of CAS FAMU. As part of her producer identity, she moves on the borderline of ambient and experiment, drawing on collected field recordings and enriching layered sound collages with singing or subtle notes of clarinet and other instruments. She creates fantastical utopian worlds on the borderline of intimate, wordless narration. The focus of her work are themes of collective care and connection, utopia, escapism, intersectional feminism and interspecies communication. To materialize these ideas and emotions, she most often uses the form of performance, video or musical composition.
