Jana Hojdová

Jana Hojdová Jana Hojdová is a Czech cinematographer, director and producer.
She studied in the Camera department at FAMU. Her film The Dream was nominated for Best Cinematography in Short Film at Camerimage 2015 and awarded the Jaroslav Kučera Award by AČK 2016 (The Czech Society of Cinematographers). Jana has also completed numerous music videos and commercials as well as documentaries and short films. She was an international jury member in the Kamera OKO Film Festival in 2021 and in 2023 in FamuFest. Jana founded Bridge Films production company.
Jana shot as DOP two feature films Mirrors in the Dark and And Then There Was Love…, which were directed and produced by Šimon Holý and had world premiere in Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. In 2023 she shot feature film Annexions with the director Haruna Honcoop and feature film Hello Welcome which was directed and produced by Šimon Holý. She was awarded by AČK for the film And Then There Was Love… for the cameraman’s contributional work. Currently, she is working on her feature length documentary about cinematographer Robert Richardson.
