Martina Netíková
Martina Netíková A graduate of FAMU in Prague, she also studied photography and fine arts. During her studies, she founded the FAMU distribution label in cinema. She produced Damián Vondrášek’s short films Imprisoned (KVIFF, Future Frames, San Sebastián IFF, Magnesia Award nomination) and Frontier, which premiered at the Trieste IFF. Their latest joint effort, Rites, won the Czech Lion for Best Short Film and a special mention at the Pragueshorts IFF. She co-produced the feature debut Dark Ages by producer Corneliu Porumboiu and, together with Kristýna Michálek Květová, the documentary The Visitors by Veronika Lišková (Semaine de la Critique Locarno). The film has successfully toured other major festivals such as Chicago IFF, Trieste FF, Ji.hlava IDFF, Tromso IFF, Hot Docs, etc. She is developing new documentaries with Veronika Liskova “Moje druhé, skvělé já” and Tomas Klein “Smrt nanečisto”. She is a Czech Film and Television Academy member and a graduate of the Focus Script workshop in Cannes and Midpoint.
