Director Theodor Kuhn’s debut deals with the issues of violence, injustice and feelings of helplessness when facing a corrupt system. The winning film of this year’s Febiofest was inspired by the factual murder of a young Slovak student stabbed by a group of neo-Nazis on the Bratislava embankment in 2005. Even though the perpetrators were captured, they were still able to escape justice due to a dubious legal system and mafia practices. The father of the stabbed boy eventually takes justice into his own hands.
