Michal Hogenauer was born in 1984 in Prague. He graduated from the FAMU Film Academy in director studies and his bachelor degree picture Děti sledující noční vlaky (Children Watching Night Trains) (2008) was projected at the Premiere Plans Film Festival. His diploma degree film Tambylles(2011) achieved even bigger success, as it was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in the Cinéfondation section. He is a co-founder of the educational platform Cinergy and during years 2017-2019, he was an art director of the International Film Festival Febiofest in Prague. His feature film Tiché Doteky (A Certain Kind of Silence) was premiered at this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film festival.
