David Cysař

 

David Cysař, a photographer, cinematographer and director who studied photography at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and works in the Mimoformát photography studio. He has been exhibiting photographs since 1996, his authorial exhibitions include successful projects Through the Labyrinth (2004, Prague, Karlovy Vary, Ostrava) and Searching (2001). As a cinematographer, he worked with a number of Czech documentarists at several Czech TV cycles (Charta 77, dir. Olga Sommerová; Čtyři v tom, dir. Linda Jablonská and many more). He worked on Linda Jablonská’s full feature documentary Left, right, forward! (“Kupředu levá, kupředu pravá”, 2007) and Helena Třeštíková’s time-lapse documentaries, last of them being Mallory (2015).
