Isabel Pagliai
Isabel Pagliai, a cinematographer, director and writer studied literature and art history at Université Denis-Diderot in Paris and afterwards cinema at Université de Saint-Denis. Her cinematic work, which combines a fictional approach with documentary shooting techniques, focuses on the themes of childhood and language like in her short drama Isabella Morra (2015) which earned her a special mention of the jury in Clermont-Ferrand or the jury prize in Moscow. She also worked as a director of photography on other projects, e.g. Un jeune poète (2014), Motu Maeva (2014). She currently lives and works between Paris and Roubaix, where she is a student at Fresnoy, national studio of contemporary art.
