Martin Kohout

     

Martin kohout,artist and publisher (TLTRPreß) Martin Kohout uses moving pictures, objects and installations. In his documentary films About Night Shifts and Slides, he also explores the medium of film. He graduated from the Department of Cinematography of the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and finished his studies at the Frankfurt Städelschule in the studio of Simon Starling. In 2006, he founded the cultural web portal jlbjlt.net that is still active today. Martin Kohout often explores customs and behaviour types stemming from our experiences with digital communication. His work is regularly presented in the Czech Republic as well as abroad.
