Soňa Červená

Soňa Červená is a Czech actress and opera singer born in 1925. She started singing in opera professionally in Janáček Theatre in Brno after her gained experience in Free Prague Theatre. After seven years she emigrated to Berlin to form roles that opened her door to new opportunities in world theatres  in West Europe or the United States of America. She has obtained the title “Chamber opera singer” twice – in Berlin (1960) and in Frankfurt (1978).
