The short film Babi explores the relationship between a grandson, Emil, and his grandmother, Terezie, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. Emil tries to care for his grandmother and help her with daily activities such as eating, personal hygiene, and taking her medication. Gradually, however, he realizes that despite his care, Terezie is no longer able to live independently. At the same time, he must come to terms with his father’s decision to consider placing her in a nursing home.
