Braňo Pažitka was born in 1974 in Bratislava. After graduating from a secondary school specializing in electrical engineering and dropping out of the geology program at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Charles University, he studied cinematography at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava (1998–2003). He continued his studies at FAMU in Prague until 2005. As a cinematographer, he worked primarily on documentary films, then on television documentaries for Czech Television (ČT), and toward the end of his career on investigative podcasts at the Seznam Zprávy newsroom. Since 2023, he has been working as a real estate agent. He lives and works in Prague.
