David Fesl

 

David Fesl is a conceptual sculptor who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2020. He combines disparate materials to create emotionally compelling compositions, linked by a system of perceived attractions and tensions. He organizes his works and places them in existing architectural and dramaturgical units. Previous exhibitions include Lulu, Mexico City (2021); Georg Kargl Fine Arts, Vienna (2020); Karlin Studios, Prague (2020); Castlefield Gallery, Manchester (2018) and the National Gallery Prague (2016-2017). Since 2016, he has been working as an artist duo with Sláva Sobotovičová, creating institutional critical texts and performances.
