Fiona Ziegler was born and raised in Switzerland. She studied literature, history and political science at the Universities of Friborg and Geneva, then was accepted to the Department of Directing at the Film Academy in Prague. She graduated in 2020 with her short movie Toda Raba Ben (2016), which she filmed in cooperation with the Sapir film school in Israel. Her other short films Domov (Home, 2013), 2:1 (2013) and Božská částice (Divine Particle, 2015) have been screened at various international film festivals around the world. Fiona lives and works in Prague and Bern. Ztraceni v ráji (Lost in Paradise) is her first feature film.
