KRISTINA KŮLOVÁ
Kristina began studying cinematography at FAMU in Prague in 2019, where she is now completing her master’s degree. In her first year, her student film “And the Light Changes Shape” was screened at the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, and her student film “The Cycle” was nominated for the Aramis Award at FAMUFEST and won an award at Mladá Kamera Uničov. In her second year, she received a special jury award at the Ostrava Kamera OKO festival for her film “42.5 Meters.” Her bachelor’s film “3MWh” premiered at the prestigious IFFR Rotterdam festival, was included in the FutureFrames KVIFF program, and was nominated for a Czech Lion for best student film. Her feature debut “The Other One” premiered at the Karlovy Vary festival and received an award at the Dok Leipzig festival. She has recently completed a time-lapse documentary, Valley of the Night, in Arizona, USA, and is also shooting a hybrid documentary in Fuerteventura with Viera Čakány. She is working on several TV series and has several other projects in development, including the feature film debut of director Tereza Vejvodová, Flora. She is the youngest member of the Association of Czech Cinematographers. In 2025, she received the AČK award for best student film.
