KRYŠTOF TICHÝ
Kryštof Tichý grew up in Prague and began studying film at FAMO in Písek, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. After graduating in 2023, he returned to Prague, where he currently works. He made his debut as a director of photography on the feature-length docudrama Lone Wolf (directed by Ondřej Veverka), which had its world premiere in August 2026 and was released in Czech theaters, and in television with the series Energomise (2026) for Czech Television. He seeks out hidden stories and humanity in everyday life. He is drawn to an organic and unpretentious style of visual storytelling that relies on authenticity and natural emotions. He does not seek grandeur, but rather moments in which the viewer can recognize themselves and truly experience the story. In an era inundated with short videos, he is therefore drawn to small, sensitively told stories with a genuine human dimension. It is precisely these stories that he aims to explore in his future work in feature films.
