Kryštof Melka en

Kryštof Melka(*1993) is a cinematographer who is currently completing his master’s degree at the Department of Camera at FAMU in Prague. He focuses on stage productions (“The Game” directed by Lun Sevnik, “George the Refugee” directed by Tomasz Wiński, “Rituals” directed by Damián Vondrášek), but he also works on documentaries (“Alone Together” and “Love, Dad” directed by Diana Van Cam Nguyen). The Czech Television’s ten-part series “Five Years”, which he filmed with director Damián Vondrášek, has just been broadcast. He participated in a number of short films, video clips and as a cameraman he cooperates, for example, on live-cinema projects of theater director Petra Tejnorová. His other collaborations include work with the artist Jakub Jansa, or with advertising directors Jára Moravec and Luboš Rezler. His feature-length cameramanship debut “The Limits of Love” directed by Tomasz Wiński premiered in the main competition at this year’s Karlovy Vary festival and will be distributed in the fall.
