Ludvík Otevřel en

Ludvík Otevřel started studying camera at the University of Technology in Zlín, then continued his studies at the Department of Camera at FAMU, where he is now finishing his Master’s degree. As a cinematographer, he has participated in many student films. Examples include the documentary film Illusion (2018), nominated in the Czech Joy section at the Ji.hlava IDFF; the documentary film Good News (2019), which won the Best Documentary Award at FAMUFEST, the experimental film Apparatgeist (2019), which was screened in the main competition at Ji.hlava IDFF, where he received a Special Mention from the student jury, and the film Shells (2022), which premiered at Karlovy Vary IFF. He is currently preparing the feature documentary debut of director Marie-Magdalena Kochová.
