AV Night STORY
The exceptional audiovisual evening is taking place in Saint Wenceslas Church in Opava during the 11th Ostrava Kamera Oko festival on Friday 27 of September at 20:00. The rare occasion combines sacral atmosphere of the church with contemporary electronic music of artists from all over the world. Plenty of them is visiting the Czech Republic for the first time ever. The visual aspects of the evening will not be forgotten. Artists themselves and MAESS, a group from Brno, will ensure the unforgettable show.
► Antwood (CA) presents Delphi – AV LIVE
Canadian producer Tristan Douglas will present his new album Delphi in Opava. The album brings up the question of linking technology with our romantic relationships. Released by Planet Mu.
► Low Jack (FR) – LIVE
Philippe Hallais in his electronic music oscillates on the edge of plenty of genres although as a DJ he focuses on experimental techno. In 2014 he released an album called Garifuna Variations in which he pays tribute to his native country Honduras through records of stories and sounds of ethnic group Garifuna. He collaborated with Dominic Fernow on the project called Rainforest Spiritual Enslavemen.
Sicilian producer currently living in Berlin Nino Pedone a.k.a. Shapednoise makes his sounds as sharp as dystopia. Industrial, jungle, ambient and drone sounds are mixed up in his music.
Pedro Maia is a Portuguese experimental filmmaker working preferably with 16mm and 8mm film material. Apart from his own artistic career he is involved with musicians such as Vessel, Shackleton, Visionist, Jacaszek, Tropic of Cancer, Demdike Stare, Fennesz and many others.
► SWAN MEAT (US/DE) – LIVE
Reba Fay – a poet, producer and DJ from Chicago combines a spoken word with industrial electronic music. She releases her work under Bala Club.
► Philipp Otterbach (DE) – DJ SET
A DJ from Berlin, Otterbach used to be one of the first residents in famous and legendary club Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf. His newest record The Rest is Bliss behaves as a calming pulsing flow which carries us far, far away from civilisation.
► Nazar – HYBRID SET (ANG/UK)
Nazar’s music world associates with issues such as extreme violence, injustice and oppression towards its citizens in Angola, the country that his roots are linked with. He was raised in Belgium and when the civil war ended, he returned to Angola and started creating his own rough version of local music style Kuduro. His latest EP called The Enclave demonstrates cruel and harsh routineness of life and African country’s hope for better future. His work is released by Hyperdub Records.

The price of the ticket is 450 CZK. In case of owning the festival pass for the whole week, the ticket then costs 200 CZK.
