Between 1985 and 1987, American journalist Edward Serotta visited communist Romania and took photographs capturing the harsh reality of the country. The secret police (Securitate) followed him and secretly photographed him as he took pictures. Forty years later, we combined these two series of photographs—creating a contrasting view of the comical side of history.
