Ulla is a Berlin-based musician/composer renowned for crafting intricate and resonant ambient
music—characterized by a vaporous blend of gliding electronics and electroacoustics, offering
intimate and spectral soundscapes that invite deep listener engagement. Since 2016, they have
released several critically acclaimed albums, including *Big Room* (2019) and *Tumbling
Towards A Wall* (2020), both praised for their depth and innovation.
In 2022, Ulla introduced *Foam*, which incorporated piano, guitar, and chopped vocal
fragments, presenting a glitchier sound, celebrated for its sound design, emotional depth, and
its challenge to traditional ambient music conventions.
Ulla’s most recent work, *Hometown Girl*, released under the alias U.e. on their own label
28912, marks a departure from earlier electroacoustic and digital compositions, embracing a
more acoustic approach with clean-toned guitar, woodwinds, and piano.
