Vojtěch Strakatý studied directing and screenwriting at FAMO in Písek. After Party, the script of his feature debut won the Film Foundation’s Star of Tomorrow (Hvězda zítřka) award at the Karlovy Vary IFF 2018. The film, shot in 2022, recently had its world premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival (Orizzonti Extra Section). His second feature film, The Other Side of Summer, shot in 2023, is currently in post-production.
