Marek Bartoš

 

Marek Bartoš is a Czech photographer born in Prague in 1981. He is a graduate of the Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín – The Department of Advertising Photography and Graphic Design. During his studies, he spent a year studying and gaining experience in the USA. He worked as an assistant to Czech and foreign photographers such as Albert Watson (USA), Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin (UK), Steffen Jahn (DE), Andreas Hofmann (DE), Mikhail Korolev (RU), Toshiharu Hashimoto (JAP) and Michael Penn (UK). In his work, he puts great emphasis on meaningful projects and their connection to everyday life. His photographs were exhibited in group exhibitions for example in the Old Town Hall and the Mánes Gallery in Prague.
