Jiří Volejník comes from an environment that has always inspired him. Whether it was music, photography, film, visual arts, or the social intersection between people in these fields. More than individual genres, he is interested in their synthesis or elusiveness. Ultimately, the medium is more important to him than the transmission of the subject matter, where even imperfections are part of its expression and not contamination. What at first glance may appear to some as chaos or inconsistency is, for Jiří, a secret code or order that sometimes only he tries to understand. Currently, he focuses on working with live video images, which he distorts, deforms, and transforms into a new visual reality. His visual concepts found their place during a live performance with an experimental musician Martin Režný from Ostrava. He follows DIY principles. He lives and works in Ostrava.
